OUR HISTORY

Originally a part of the management services division of Ronald A. Kawahara & Co., CPAs, Inc., DMI was established as a separate entity in 1974. Since that time, DMI has grown to include more than 70 community associations and 30 employees. DMI places a strong emphasis on ethics and fiscal integrity.

Ron is convinced that no amount of marketing can substitute for competence and quality service. He also believes in community service and has served as President of many organizations, including the Maui Chamber of Commerce, Maui Unity Way, Maui County Board of Tax Review, Rotary, West Maui Taxpayers Association, and Maui Redevelopment Agency, among others.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

DMI’s goal is to become the best homeowner association management company in the industry, not the biggest. We will do this by assigning no more than seven full-service property management accounts to each Account Executive. This is the only way to ensure quality service.

Our mission is to enhance the value of properties under our management. Our Vision is to be the best property management company in the industry by emphasizing best practices. We will accomplish our Mission and Vision by providing the appropriate tools to exceptional Account Executives, giving them strong administrative and back-office support along with emphasizing the need for continuing education throughout their careers.
