Condorama IV

The Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) hosts a regular event, Condorama, that is a wealth of information for condo boards and association members. The most recent Condorama IV was presented on Nov. 17, 2018 at the State Capitol. If you missed it, a recording of the seminar is posted to the Commission’s YouTube Channel along with recordings of the prior three Condorama events.

Upcoming Community Associations Institute Hawaii Event

CAI Hawaii is an organization that serves the educational, business, and networking needs of associations ranging from condominiums and cooperatives to planned associations.  The Condominium Education Trust Fund (CETF) subsidizes a select number of CAI Hawaii condominium educational events procured by the Commission. These educational events are open to anyone who wishes to attend, including directors, owners, property managers, attorneys, and the general public.

CAI Hawaii has upcoming educational events, “Case Law Update” on Thursday February 7, and “Going Green to Save Green” on Thursday March 7, both from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Japanese Cultural Center. Upcoming Hawaii Council of Community Associations Event

 HCCA is a nonprofit that since October 1975 has provided educational and legislative efforts on behalf of condominiums, cooperative housing, and planned community associations. The Commission does not endorse the views or activities of the HCCA, and has not procured any contracts with HCCA. The Commission is merely informing interested parties of their events. Law Change: Repeal of Chapter 514A, HRS

Chapter 514A HRS, was repealed on January 1, 2019. All chapter 514A, HRS, projects with unsold developer units that did not meet the requirements for automatic transfer to chapter 514B, HRS, must re-register under chapter 514B, HRS, to engage in any legal sale of previously unsold units. Please see the Commission website for more information. Act 181, SLH 2017, which repealed chapter 514A, HRS, does not allow for any extensions.
