Ayres Christ, a CAI certified reserve specialist, will be discussing the impact of the Lahaina wildfires on reserves statewide. Mr. Christ co-manages Associa Hawaii’s reserve study division with Kim Becker, performing reserve studies and providing advice on capital expenditure planning for condominiums, townhomes, planned community associations, commercial properties, and non-profits, including UH-Manoa and the Salvation Army.
Christopher St. Sure, Esq., a partner at Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel LLP, will be providing an overview on the duties of directors, including tips on dealing with difficult owners. Mr. St. Sure focuses his practice primarily in business litigation, condominium law, and other real estate related law areas. He is currently the Hawaii Young Lawyers Division (“YLD”) Hawaii Delegate to the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates and was a former President of the YLD.
Bill Gourley, Esq., a partner at the Atlanta-based NowackHoward law firm, will be covering security services and community associations’ duties to protect. Mr. Gourley has a wide range of experience with association law, contract negotiations, alternative dispute resolution, and other real estate disputes.
